Written because I knoowww how much Lexi loves high school au's...and au's in general.
Small amount of cursing.
"Cas," the name trailed off into the uncomfortable shuffling of Castiel's coat. Dean brought his hand up to Castiel's face, his fingers barely tracing around the knob in his skin. Cas started at the initial touch, but the light trail of fingers could barely be felt. Dean's hand dropped to his chin and turned his head, inspecting his face for other injuries. "You have two cuts, dude!" he said, eyebrows furrowing. Castiel's eyes darted away from his inspectors.
"I'll survive," he said, hoping to end the topic, but Dean just pulsed angrier and angrier.
"They could've broken something!" Dean's voice gritted through his mounting anger. "They might have, for all we know!"
"Dean, it's-it's fine. I should've known-"
"No, Cas! It isn't fuckin' fine! They punched you, they-you're hurt!" Dean's hand fell away and clenched into a fist, as though the attackers where behind him, preparing for the next strike.
"They'll be brought to the principal. There were one or two witnesses. It's okay."
Dean looked to his side and let loose a line of blasphemous insults. Castiel closed his eyes.
