Crap. I'm sorry, I got some people to give you some feedback, but it backfired. They both stuck to just criticism, and didn't give very well rounded reviews. I'm sorry, that was my fault, please don't be discouraged.

I saw it as more of an extended metaphor, sort of like telling your grandkids a story with a moral. I don't think that the reviewers saw it the same way.

Yeah, that was kind of my aim, but I wasn't sure how to say it. I do think some things need clarification, and there were certainly some cliche metaphors that could definitely use some work.
